Achim Klor | President & Creative Director

Achim (go ahead, try to pronounce it) has been working in the field of graphic design and visual communication since 1988. And since 1996, he has been an advocate of good design practices and design standards for creating great customer experiences. His understanding of technology — and those who use it — combined with graphic design, branding and industry knowledge produces unparalleled value for STERLINGKLOR's clients.

In 1987, Achim received an Associate of Graphic and Visual Design Diploma from Kwantlen University College. Since graduation, he has worked for various firms including BC Business Magazine, BC Tel and GE Capital.

Believe it or not, Achim is colourblind in the red green hues. But to overcome his handicap, he became a voracious student of colour theory (although he still asks Kim which shirt to wear).

Kim Sterling-Klor | Vice President

Kim graduated from Kwantlen's Graphic & Visual Design program in 1987 and received an Associate of Graphic and Visual Design Diploma. She worked at The Georgia Straight until 1994 where she shouldered assistant production manager responsibilities along with the design and production duties needed for a busy, weekly newspaper.

She studied animation at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario until 1996 and received a Diploma in Classical Animation. She worked on a children's animated series before freelancing independently in design, layout and animation (Web-based and traditional). Kim finds it more exciting than ever keeping up with the changing technology (as long as everything is plugged in before she gets there).

Terry Sylvan | Director of Strategic Marketing

Terry specializes in traditional and online marketing, internet brand management, demand creation campaigns, lead generation and business consulting. He has been developing effective strategic marketing programs since 1998 and has successfully worked with many top Canadian and international companies such as Telus, BC Hydro, Pioneer Electronics, Microsoft, Intrawest, Rogers Wireless, Nestle, and GM Canada.

Terry approaches strategic marketing from a unique, easy to understand perspective, and has subsequently garnered high praise for his client friendly manner and delivering measurable business results. He is a practitioner of process, CRM deployment projects and go-to-market strategies. He is constantly keeping up-to-date with current marketing trends, news and online marketing developments.

E. Andres Montgomery | Director of Business Development

For the past three years Andres has been a consultant to Microsoft for LiveMeeting, Office SBA, MBS and the Global Partner team. During the previous eight years he held a number of positions at Microsoft in the finance, sales and marketing organizations. His accomplishments included developing the customer response rating and lead follow-up process for the Exchange 2000, Office XP and Windows XP launches. He also was responsible for building the forecasting model for the worldwide product launch of Windows 95 and worked on the development of the company’s first intranet site (FINWEB). Prior to Microsoft, Andres held finance and accounting positions at Systems Consortia International in Vancouver, British Columbia, Continental Airlines Corp., Cooper Industries in Houston and National Bancshares Corporation (NBC) in San Antonio, Texas. He’s served on the board of the Technology Access Foundation, a non profit organization providing access to technology and technical training for inner city youth. Andres completed undergraduate studies in Accounting at St. Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas.
